With just about a week to go, I have been fretting about the presidential race to the point of popping Valium like Pez. Ray emailed this to me this afternoon. He just knows what to do to cheer me up. This clever little video speaks (or sings) my opinion of Sarah Palin. God, I love the Internet.
For your viewing pleasure:
On a side note: CNN ran a story yesterday reporting that McCain advisers have suggested they’ve become frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue.”
From the CNN story:
A second McCain source says she appears to be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.
“She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone,” said this McCain adviser. “She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.
“Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”
That’s coming from inside her own campaign! Ms. Sarah recently defined an elitist as someone “who think that they’re better than anyone else”
She’s super freaky–yeow!
That was freaking awesome. My day is a little brighter already.
That video was a delight.
Assuming McCain/Palin lose, as looks “almost” inevitable now, Palin’s in for a rude awakening if she thinks she’s going to automatically be head of the party next go-round.
It would be one thing if she’d been one of the primary candidates who’d lost to McCain, but since she was pulled out of nowhere, nobody’s going to feel they owe her any deference – especially if McCain loses. Some will blame her, and some will have an open mind but expect her to earn her position, and if she expects to waltz in and take over – well, if you thought Hillary faced criticism for being presumptuous, wait till you see a bunch of Republican men who feel they’re being passed over.
